Ole Martin Meland is a Bergen-based dancer and choreographer. He graduated from the Oslo National Academy of the Arts (KHiO) in 2006 and has been a core member of Carte Blanche – Norway’s National Company for Contemporary Dance ever since.

Alongside his work as a performer, Meland has developed a distinctive choreographic voice across both independent projects and commissioned works for companies such as Iceland Dance Company, Oslo Dance Ensemble, and Carte Blanche. His work is bold, physical, and deliberately unrefined—driven by a direct and uncompromising energy.

Meland’s choreography often explores the tension between destruction and creation, seeking out moments where things don’t quite align—where contradictions emerge, new logics take shape, and familiar perspectives begin to shift.
