Ukrainian Contemporary Dance Platform was established in 2015 during the fifth international ZELYONKA FESTIVAL in Kyiv. The reason for creating the organization was the need to combine the efforts of managers and choreographers to find new forms of interaction within the dance community.

Since its foundation, the Contemporary Dance Platform has created several projects that have influenced the formation of the identity of contemporary dance in Ukraine. These are ARTIL - an art incubator for young choreographers, LET THE BODY SPEAK — a hub of Ukrainian contemporary dance during the war, ALTstage — an environment for interaction between choreographers, media artists and IT-specialists, the Ukrainian-Polish bienniale DANCE SPACE, the international festival ZELYONKA.

We create educational and performative projects with the participation of Ukrainian professionals and invite European and American colleagues to share their experiences. We use opportunities to promote Ukrainian contemporary dance at home and abroad. We hold about 10 events a year.
