Materiais Diversos is an organization dedicated to the performing arts, committed to supporting, accompanying, and giving visibility to unique artistic paths. With a focus on contemporary dance and its intersections with other practices, we have been programming the materiais diversos festival since 2009 and developing creation, training, research, and publishing projects that stimulate dialogue between art and society.

Beyond its regular programming and the materiais diversos festival, which will return in 2027, as well as new formats starting in 2026, Materiais Diversos continues to dedicate itself to accompanying artistic trajectories that challenge and expand the field of contemporary performing arts.

As a professional programming organization, Materiais creates fertile contexts for research, experimentation, production, co-production, and dissemination of artistic projects, positioning itself as a tool for encounter and critical thought.

By mobilizing its institutional resources around contemporary creation, Materiais Diversos acts as an incubator for artists and ideas, promoting conditions for risk-taking and sustainable relationships. Spanning generations and geographies, the program values new voices and emerging languages, while maintaining a focus on the continuity and maturity of artists with established bodies of work.
